CoastalCOMS is the technology and R&D arm of Coastalwatch. We provide coastal monitoring solutions, specialized video analytics software, and coastal data solutions via consultative relationships with a diverse range of clients in coastal management, public safety, academia, and online media.
Our monitoring solutions are based on applied research and development of video analytics in the beach and surf zones. Since our team’s development and mass marketing of the first beach camera networks and services in the mid-1990’s we’ve combined years of technical experience with staff backgrounds in control systems, large-scale wired/wireless video networking and communications over water, and focused video application data and rich content delivery via the Internet to deliver results for our growing client base.
Our clients include national governing bodies, regulatory agencies, and federal, state, and local public safety and maritime law enforcement agencies in multiple countries around the globe.
We operate as a geographically dispersed yet focused team with offices located in California, USA, Sydney, Australia, and Gold Coast, Australia. Our research and development lab is at home, on the Gold Coast.
