Hosted Lifeguard Surveillance Cameras Aid First Responders in Texas

When Galveston Island Beach Patrol needed a cost effective way to monitor the Island’s remote beaches and miles of coastline, they found the blend of solutions they needed with CoastalCOMS managed surveillance and gained the added benefit of CCOMS processing solutions.

“Working with Coastalwatch’s CoastalCOMS consulting team we have installed their hosted XProtect surveillance package as a critical building block of our beach safety monitoring system.  So far the system has been used to locate potential victims, assess need in various parts of our beach, and has become a valuable public relations tool.   It has even saved a life by pinpointing where a victim was before rescuers ever arrived at the scene.
